Marketing and software for healthcare
You are probably losing patientsbefore they ever reach you
Missed calls after seven. Appointments nobody confirmed. Searches won by the clinic four hundred metres away. Monk Mantra finds those leaks, fixes them inside what medical advertising rules permit, and builds the software that closes them for good.We find those leaks and close them.
- Compliant with MCI and DMR rules by design
- Custom tools live in 2–4 weeks
- Reported in patients, not impressions
You keep the audit whether or not you engage us — and we will put you on a call with a current client before you sign anything.

An estimate, not a measurement. It assumes about half of answered enquiries book, that 25% of first contacts go unanswered, a 22% no-show rate and a 20% local search gap — figures typical of Indian outpatient settings. Your real numbers will differ, which is exactly what the free audit measures.

What we do
Find the leak, fix it, then measure it
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. In a clinic the enquiry is the easy part — so we work all three stages, and build the software when a campaign is not the answer.
The demand side. Being the option a patient finds first, without breaking advertising rules.
The part most agencies hand back to you. Enquiries that arrive and then quietly die.
Almost every account we audit reports numbers that are wrong in a specific, identifiable way.
The same discipline, applied where the economics and the regulations differ.
The constraint most agencies ignore
What healthcare brands can and cannot say in India
Getting this wrong is not a marketing problem. It is a regulatory one, and the doctor carries the consequence, not the agency.
- MCI Code of Ethics 2002, Regulation 6.1
- Prohibits doctors soliciting patients directly or indirectly, and prohibits self-promotion that touts or exaggerates. The NMC's replacement regulations, notified in August 2023, were placed in abeyance — so the 2002 code remains the operative standard.
- Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, 1954
- Makes it a criminal offence to advertise treatment to the public for a long schedule of conditions, including infertility, obesity, diabetes, cancer and sexual disorders. It applies to everyone, not only to doctors.
- CCPA guidelines on misleading advertisements, 2022
- Every claim must be capable of substantiation, and material limitations must be disclosed rather than buried. Technically defensible statements that create a false overall impression still breach it.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
- The framework that actually governs patient data in India, with Rules notified in November 2025 covering consent notices, retention, breach reporting and children's data. HIPAA is United States law and does not apply here.
None of this stops a practice from growing. It stops a practice from growing the lazy way — and being the most findable, best explained and most responsive option in your catchment is entirely permitted.

How we work
Find the leak, fix it, then build what compounds
No ninety-day discovery phase. The first month should pay for itself before anything slow and expensive starts.
- 1Week 1
Audit before opinions
We map what you rank for, what you pay for, what a patient sees at midnight, and where enquiries drop. You get the findings in writing whether or not you hire us.
- 2Weeks 2–4
Fix the leaks first
Profiles rebuilt, tracking installed properly, obvious ad waste cut, booking path unblocked, compliance risk removed from live copy. Cheapest lift available.
- 3Months 2–4
Build the demand engine
Condition and location pages, medically reviewed content, structured data, review systems, and campaigns targeting intent rather than vanity terms.
- 4As needed
Close the operational gap
Where a missing tool is the bottleneck, our engineering side builds it — booking, reminders, CRM, dashboards — instead of adding another subscription.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Monk Mantra is a marketing and software team for healthcare. On the marketing side we run SEO, local search, Google Ads, content and reputation for doctors, clinics and hospitals, inside what Indian medical advertising rules permit. On the engineering side we build custom tools — appointment booking, WhatsApp reminders, patient CRM and dashboards — that close the gap between an enquiry and an attended appointment. We also work with D2C, SaaS, hospitality and real estate brands.
Doctors cannot solicit patients or promote themselves in a way that touts or exaggerates, under Regulation 6.1 of the MCI Code of Ethics 2002, which remains operative after the NMC's 2023 replacement was placed in abeyance. Factual information is permitted: qualifications, registration, specialty, conditions treated, address, hours and fees. Health education content, an accurate Google Business Profile and honestly earned reviews are all on the permitted side of that line.
Local search and Google Business Profile work usually shifts call volume within six to ten weeks, because you compete in a small geographic pool. Paid search produces enquiries in days but stops when you stop paying. Organic content compounds slowly and typically becomes the largest channel from month four. Anyone promising ranked results in thirty days is selling something that will not hold.
For a single consultant, a focused programme starts from about ₹12,000 per month. A single-location clinic starts from about ₹18,000 per month plus ad spend. Hospitals and multi-location groups run higher because the work spans service lines and facilities. Custom tools are quoted separately as fixed-price builds, starting from about ₹15,000 for a single tool.
Because the two problems are the same problem. A practice generating forty enquiries a week and converting twelve does not have a marketing problem — it has a follow-up problem. Most agencies stop at handing over the lead. Having engineering in the same team lets us measure the whole path from search query to attended appointment and fix whichever part is actually broken, which is often a missed call rather than a campaign.
No. Monk Mantra also works with D2C and ecommerce, SaaS, hospitality, real estate, education, financial services and professional services brands. Healthcare is where we specialise deepest because the compliance constraints and the software gap reward it, but the underlying search and performance discipline transfers across sectors.

Where else we work
